"A year ago, I began writing an EP I thought would be a joke. Its working title was “The Trash EP”. Over the course of the year, my family broke up, I worked 3 different jobs, lost damn near every close friendship I had, and when I looked around at the rubble, these songs were all I had left. Only in hindsight did I realize I had documented how my life broke. From the death of my marriage in “Dead Cause You’re Alive”, to my struggles with mental health in “Depressed”, to the destitution of financial affairs in “Money”, the resulting body of work became Broke. A fairly self explanatory title, easily my most comedic work, and yet more vulnerable. I found a home for this project at El Gran E Records and I’m excited for the world to hear it."- Tommy Jordan
