We started this label as just an idea to release ONE project: Heavy Stars "Portico". That idea originated in late 2019 while watching a live Heavy Stars set in Dallas, TX. While waiting for that vinyl to be pressed, the pandemic swept in. Instead of just sticking to the idea of the one release, we decided to release a 27-track benefit compilation, raising money for Cafe Momentum (at the time had to close down normal operations, but continued to work for the surrounding communities/school districts, creating food boxes for families in need.
Working on that project felt amazing for obvious reasons. It was also a major chance for us to work with friends, admired artists, and heroes! Many of those artists on there now have individual projects on the label, or soon will.

Among other projects in 2021, we released another benefit compilation (23 tracks, all-female cast). This time, we were raising money to raise awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2 Spirit People (MMIWG2S).

We spent much of '22 working on collaboration projects, more and more experiencing label artists working with each other, crossing genres at times. This compilation demonstrates our taste in music, what we have worked on since our conception, and some of what we have coming up.

We consider all of these fine folks our friends and family, and look forward to working with them more, and others in the coming months/years.
