Mood Ring 02:49
Mood Ring There you are Your colors tell me Where i'm coming from Mood Ring One look from you and I have to respond My one and only Mood Ring Never gonna set you down And here I'll always stand Pray us to continue hand in hand

I have failed to keep you in my mind for so long As I made my way through seasons long and strange Sometimes it’s hard to tell the right from wrong When you’re a million miles away and out of range Like I was My old friend and I in the back of a crowded bar Passing back and forth a joke, a drink, and a smile Now I’ve got no idea where you are And I know that it’s my own thought my thoughts are piled In a storm Don’t forget me my old friend Though the earth has turned again I’ll be with you in the end So don’t forget me my old friend I’ve been stuck inside my head and in my life And then the world has gone to hell in the meantime Suddenly, the curtain pulled away And I was saddled with a debt that I thought I’d paid Some time ago Now if you see me in the street and call my name I’ll be distracted by the signals and the lights The winds of change have blown and brought me here Where I know someday I’ll blink and I’ll disappear And I’ll be gone But don’t forget me my old friend Though the earth has turned again I’ll be with you in the end So don’t forget me my old friend

Triptych #1 01:52
Oh... can you name it? Can you name it? Can you name it? It's funny because it's still right there No matter how much I try to push it away The longing for those friends who almost never call Just pulls me down and off I fall Although it's been years of tender estrangement I can't fully shake the need to be needed by them How can it be after so much time I'm incomplete? Can you name it?

I was turning to the wind when the boss said time to quit I was trying to make corrections but it all just turned to shit You know that funny feeling when the moon looks like a stone The blood comes to your ears and you say leave me alone If you see me washing windows a hundred feet above the ground If you see me in a storefront selling pizza by the pound Then you’ll know I had enough and I did what I had to do You can only wait so long trying to hide from what is true The judgement that is coming it is coming from within You might think you see it coming but it’ll make your head spin Just like a fiery rocket that is lighting up the sky You’ll know deep in your heart it’s too late to ask why I was turning to the wind when the boss said time to quit I was trying to make corrections and it all just turned to shit You know that funny feeling when the moon looks like a stone The blood comes to your ears and you say leave me alone

Triptych #2 02:24
Oh... can you name it? Can you name it? Can you name it? I stood myself straight, almost tall Started and maintained this holy family A career that requires me a giant with compassion All these things I do, still looking for a reaction From those friends who almost never call Although it hurts, I know it's not there fault Though I would love some consideration For the work I've done, what I've lost and what they've won Can you name it?

Bella Ciao 04:10
A smiling face in a cloudy sky A child who is asking why A tent in the drizzling rain Brought back from the war in Spain These freedoms we have won they have bitten us And cursed us with the questions that arise Bella ciao, bella ciao Remember when we sang bella ciao To win the world but lose the ability To look into your daughter’s eyes One human life goes by so quickly That the coming night is no surprise We think we choose our path but it chooses us Ending up alone might be the prize Bella ciao, bella ciao Remember when we sang bella ciao The words of men are not believable But the words of God are hard to find You’re grasping like a blindfolded wanderer You’re nursing your own troubled mind And these freedoms you hold dear they have bitten you And cursed you with a permanent disguise Bella ciao, bella ciao Remember when we sang bella ciao

I just want to go back, when everything seemed to be alright it's only because I love them so much and myself too little and like this we hurtle through and towards an aching pain I don't want that for them, but rather a smile and some warmth And again, what I wouldn't give to back away from this future So tight the noose we've made, will we ever get it off? The inexcusable mess that we are leaving, has i't roots in the world and it is us I don't want that for them, but rather a smile and some warmth The now I'm feeling for them is the best I've ever had it in life I'm so frightened to watch it go, watch it change, i'm in so deep But, I can do anything, the right thing and go out taking care of the ones I dear most I do want that for them and smile and some warmth You've got to change for that, rearrange for that, be flexible for that, and reliable for that You can do it all with confidence, there isn't any reason you can't other than your own personal take down I don't want that for them, but rather a smile and some warmth You've got to shake it off, render yourself cured and alive and ready Your capacity is ever growing and your patience flowing Finally, it's clear the answer to the three questions: I'm truly in your service I do want that for them and smile and some warmth I do want that for them and smile and some warmth I do want that for them and smile and some warmth I do want that for them and smile and some warmth

Triptych #3 02:05
Oh... and you name it? Can you name it? Can you name it? My longing seems so trivial now Turn the page give up, I should give in But, my real heart still burns for a sound from Those friends who are almost never around Let me take another whack at this one Persistence is meditation, realization Their patience is all I have to push back on this reality Can you name it?

Sing With Me 04:00
The latest thing’s the oldest thing Why won’t you sing a melody Your throat is full you feel the pull Of someone else’s energy When I strum a chord please don’t look bored Open your heart and follow me I own this voice I had no choice I had no-one to father me Around the room there glides a moon It’s glowing but it’s far from me But it would rest inside my nest If you’d join me in harmony So please sing with me When I cracked the seal and spun the wheel I knew there was no stopping it Each day I stride the mountain side But I’ll never see the top of it To be a lover and a fool Is not an easy thing to be Sometimes our hearts are torn apart With agony and sympathy But oh, I hear with my own ear A song come from inside of you Just like a color from the edge That shows the holy light of you So please, sing with me
